The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 60 days for public comment on the extension with change of a currently approved collection. The proposed information collection pertains to the Application for Tax-Exempt Transfer of Firearms and Registration to Special Occupational Taxpayer-ATF Form 3 (5320.2), for use by Federal firearms licensees, to apply for the transfer and registration of a National Firearms Act firearms that is subject to exemption from the transfer tax, as provided by 26 U.S.C. 5852(d).
