Paperwork Reduction Act Revision of a Currently Approved Information Collection
Purpose
The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 60 days for public comment on the revision of a currently approved collection. The proposed information collection pertains to when an explosive materials business or operations is discontinued, the records must be delivered to the ATF Out of Business Records Center within 30 days of the business or operation discontinuance.
