The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 60 days for public comment on the extension without change of a currently approved collection. The proposed information collection pertains to 27 CFR 555.57 requiring all persons holding an ATF explosive licenses or permits as of May 23, 2003, to report descriptive information about their responsible persons and possessors of explosives to ATF. Subsequent changes to their list of responsible persons must also be reported to ATF.
