The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. The proposed information collection was previously published in the Federal Register on May 30, 2018. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 30 days for public comment on the extension with change of an existing collection. The proposed information collected is a survey gathering information about customer service provided on the firearms and explosives industry and government agencies, in order to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
