The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 60 days for public comment on the extension without change of a currently approved collection. The proposed information collection pertains to The National Environmental Policy Act, 42 U.S.C Chapter 55,which authorizes the execution of Environmental Information—ATF Form 5000.29, during the explosives application process, to ensure compliance with the Act. ATF personnel review the collected information to determine if there is any adverse impact on the environment due to the applicant's business operations, or disposal of waste products.
