The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 60 days for public comment on the extension of an existing collection. The proposed information collection pertains to ATF Form 5400.14/5400.15 Part III. Licenses or permits are issued for a specific period of time and are renewable upon the same conditions as the original license or permit. In order to continue uninterruptedly in these activities, licenses and permits can be renewed by filing the short renewal application ATF Form 5400.14/5400.15 Part III.
