Canton Man Charged With Distribution of a Controlled Substance
Cleveland Ohio – Federal, county and local law enforcement officials today announced that a Canton man was indicted for Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine.
Charged in a two-count indictment is James Radcliff, 56 of Akron, Ohio, with Distribution of Methamphetamine.
An indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. Each defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
If convicted, the defendants’ sentences will be determined by the Court after review of factors unique to this case, including each defendant’s prior criminal record, if any, the defendant’s role in the offense, and the characteristics of the violation. In all cases, the sentence imposed will not exceed the statutory maximum and in most cases it will be less than the maximum.
James Radcliff was taken into custody today.
