Canton Men Arrested on Federal Firearms Violations

Cleveland, Ohio – Federal, county and local law enforcement officials today announced that two individuals from Canton were charged with firearm violations.

Stephen Terrell Horn, 28 of Canton, Ohio, is charged with, possession of a firearm after having been convicted of domestic violence and Possession of an Unregistered Firearm.

Shain Dayton George, 41, of Canton, Ohio, is also charged with Possession of an Unregistered Firearm.

An indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. Each defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

If convicted, the defendants’ sentences will be determined by the Court after review of factors unique to this case, including each defendant’s prior criminal record, if any, the defendant’s role in the offense, and the characteristics of the violation. In all cases, the sentence imposed will not exceed the statutory maximum and in most cases it will be less than the maximum.

This is the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Canton Police Department.
