ATF offers $5,000 reward in Tesla power station arson case
FARGO, N.D. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, in conjunction with the FBI and the Fargo Police and Fire Departments, is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information related to the March 21 arson of a Tesla power station in Fargo.
Fargo Police and Fire personnel responded to a fire early that morning in the parking lot at 1551 45th Street South. Surveillance footage captured an individual entering the parking lot, igniting a fire on the base of the Tesla charging bank, and flee the scene.
Investigators have determined the fire was an intentional act of arson. They are now seeking public assistance to identify the suspect and advance the investigation.
“Deliberately setting fire to a power station isn’t just reckless — it endangers lives and critical infrastructure,” said ATF Special Agent in Charge Travis Riddle of the St. Paul Field Division. “We’re asking the public to help us identify the person responsible for this crime.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact Fargo Police Department at (701) 241-5777 or text a tip with keyword “FARGOPD” to 847411.
To be eligible for the reward, tips must lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. If seeking a reward, individuals must provide their name and contact information. Tipsters are encouraged to share as many details as possible related to the identity and/or whereabouts of the suspect.
As the only federal agency with jurisdiction for investigating fires and arson-related crimes, ATF remains committed to protecting communities from violent and destructive acts. For more information about ATF, go to www.atf.gov. Follow @ATFHQ and @ATFStPaul on X for updates.
