Records of Acquisition and Disposition, Registered Importers of Arms, Ammunition and Defense Articles on the U.S. Munitions Import List (OMB Number 114-0031)

The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 30 days for public comment on the extension without change of a currently approved collection. The proposed information collection pertains to a record retention requirement for imported items on the United States Munitions Import List. The records are maintained at the registrant’s business premises and must be made available to personnel from ATF during compliance inspections, and/or criminal investigations.
