Extension With Change of a Currently Approved Information Collection
Purpose
The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides an additional 30 days for public comment on the extension with change of an existing collection. The proposed information collection pertains to the Application and Permit for Temporary Importation of Firearms and Ammunition By Nonimmigrant Aliens—ATF Form 6NIA (5330.3D) that is used by nonimmigrant aliens to temporarily import firearms and ammunition into the United States for hunting or other sporting purposes.
