Application for Restoration of Firearms Privileges (ATF Form 3210.1) (OMB Number 1140-0002)

The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides an additional 30 days for public comment on the extension without change of a currently approved collection. The proposed information collection pertains to the information requested on the Application for Restoration of Firearms Privileges-ATF Form 3210.1. Individuals prohibited from purchasing, possessing, receiving, or transporting firearms, are permitted to apply for the restoration of their firearms privileges, using ATF Form 3210.1. Currently, only corporations may apply for relief, since Congress has not appropriated funds for individuals who are prohibited.
