The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 60 days for public comment on the extension without change of a currently approved collection inventories. The proposed information collection requires that persons engaging in the explosive industry maintain explosive material inventories. The collected information is used by the government to develop audit trails during the course of a compliance inspection or criminal investigation.
