Application and Permit for Importation of Firearms, Ammunition, and Defense Articles, ATF Form 6—Part I (5330.3A) (OMB Number 1140- 0005)

The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. The proposed information collection was previously published in the Federal Register on August 1, 2019. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 30 days for public comment on the extension with change of a currently approved collection. The proposed information collection pertains to the Application and Permit for Importation of Firearms, Ammunition, and Defense Articles—ATF Form 6—Part I (5330.3A) that allows ATF to determine if the article(s) described on the application qualifies for importation. It also serves as authorization for the importer.
