Interstate Firearms Shipment Theft/Loss - Form 3310.6 (OMB Number 1140- 0004)

The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 60 days for public comment on the revision of a currently approved collection. The proposed information collection pertains to 27 CFR part 478 that requires Federal Firearms Licensees’ (FFLs) who discover that a firearm(s) it shipped was stolen or lost in transit, must report the theft or loss to ATF and the appropriate local authorities within 48 hours of discovery. Reports can be filed using the Interstate Firearms Shipment Theft/Loss Report—ATF Form 3310.6.
