The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. The proposed information collection was previously published in the Federal Register on March 12, 2019. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 30 days for public comment on the extension without change of an existing collection. The proposed information collection pertains to enabling ATF to determine if limited permittees have exceeded the number of receipts of explosives materials they are allowed, as well as the eligibility of such persons to purchases explosive materials.
