The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 60 days for public comment on the extension without change of a currently approved collection. The proposed information collection pertains to specific requirements for licensees and permittees regarding limited explosives permits outlined in the information collected. This information will be used by ATF to implement the provisions of the Safe Explosives Act.
