Paperwork Reduction Act Notice on Extension of an Information Collection
Purpose
The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. This proposed information collection extension would allow ATF to continue to use the existing form to determine if imported firearms, ammunition and implements of war meet the statutory and regulatory criteria for importation, and to subsequently verify that the imported articles have been imported.
