Paperwork Reduction Act Extension of an Information Collection
Purpose
The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. This proposed extension seeks comments on an existing form which provides information that allows ATF to determine if firearms, ammunition and implements of war are eligible for importation into the United States by members of the United States Armed Forces. If approved, the form provides the authorization to import such articles.
