Report of Multiple Sales or Other Dispositions of Certain Rifles (OMB 1140-0100)

The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. This proposed extension seeks comments on an existing form which provides information that allows ATF to collect reports from Federal Firearms Licensees regarding multiple sales or other dispositions of certain rifles in the border states of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. This is an extension of an existing Paperwork Reduction Act approval and does not expand existing collection or requirements for collection that has occurred since 2010. This information assists ATF in identifying firearms trafficking in border areas.
