September 14, 2026 - FFLAlert System via BEACON-Everbridge

This notice confirms that the FFLAlert notification announced on September 8, 2026, is an official and authorized ATF communication.  ATF has upgraded its alert system to the BEACON/Everbridge platform to strengthen and streamline emergency and other critical communications with Federal Firearms and Explosives Licensees.

September 8, 2026 - ATF, HSTF partners investigation leads to guilty plea by Mexican national for alien smuggling conspiracy using underground tunnel

WASHINGTON —A Mexican national, Luis Carlos Davalos-Lopez, 29, pleaded guilty today in El Paso, Texas, to conspiracy to bring in aliens to the United States. According to court documents, Davalos-Lopez conspired with others to smuggle migrants through an underground tunnel from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, to El Paso, Texas.
