
Chris Ashbridge serves as the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) for the Denver Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing ATF operations throughout Colorado, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Ashbridge served as the Acting Special Agent in Charge for the Denver Field Division. He also held the position of Deputy Chief within ATF’s Special Operations Division at ATF Headquarters. During this tenure, he managed several national investigative service groups, including the Technical Operations, Digital Forensics, Undercover, OCDETF, Polygraph, and Enforcement Support Branches.
Mr. Ashbridge has held numerous leadership and field roles throughout his career, including Group Supervisor of the Columbus (OH) Field Office and Instructor at the ATF National Academy. He previously served as a Special Agent in Jacksonville, FL, and Charlotte, NC.
Before joining ATF in 2005, Mr. Ashbridge served as a Police Officer with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. He is a 1999 graduate of Ohio University, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology.
