The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. The proposed information collection was previously published in the Federal Register on September 11, 2017. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 30 days for public comment on the extension of an existing collection. The proposed information collection pertains to ATF Form 6NIA (5330.3D). The form allows nonimmigrant aliens to temporarily import firearms and ammunition into the United States for hunting or other sporting purposes.
