Paperwork Reduction Act Notice on Extension of an Existing Information Collection
Purpose
The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. This proposed information collection form was previously published in the Federal Register on Dec. 1, 2014. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides an additional 30 days for additional public comment on the revision of an existing collection. The proposed information collection pertains to information requested on a form that will be used by ATF to determine the lawful transportation of an NFA firearm.
