The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 60 days for public comment on the revision of a currently approved collection. The proposed information collection pertains to persons interviewed by ATF contract investigators who are randomly selected to complete the Investigator Integrity Questionnaire—ATF Form 8620.7, which measures the effectiveness, efficiency and professionalism of investigators while conducting interviews for a Federal background investigation. Individuals may voluntarily participate in this survey by providing an email address during their interview.
