Action
Paperwork Reduction Act Extension of an Existing Information Collection
Purpose
The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 60 days for public comment on the revision of an existing collection. The proposed information collection pertains to information provided both orally and in writing to the authority having jurisdiction for the fire safety in the locality in which explosives are stored. The information is necessary for the safety of emergency response personnel responding to fires at sites where explosives are stored.
