Report of Multiple Sale or Other Disposition of Certain Rifles (ATF Form 3310.12) (OMB Number 1140– 0100)

The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 60 days for public comment on the revision of a currently approved collection. The proposed information collection pertains to ATF Form 3310.12 that requires Federal firearms licensees, who are dealers and/or pawnbrokers in Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas, to report multiple sales or dispositions whenever the licensee sells or otherwise disposes of two or more rifles to the same person at one time or within any five consecutive business days with the following characteristics; (a) Semi-automatic; (b) a caliber greater than .22; and (c) the ability to accept a detachable magazine.
