Revision of a Currently Approved Information Collection
Purpose
The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 60 days for public comment on the revision of a currently approved collection. The proposed information collected on ATF Form 2300.10 pertains to specific personally identifiable information to determine if a candidate is medically qualified for and can be hired to serve as a criminal investigator or an explosives enforcement officer.
