Paperwork Reduction Act Extension Without Change of a Currently Approved Information Collection
Purpose:
The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. The proposed information collection was previously published in the Federal Register on September 10, 2018. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 30 days for public comment on the proposed information collection pertains to the requirements that any licensee or permittee who has knowledge of theft or loss of any explosive materials from his stock shall, within 24 hours of discovery, report the theft or loss by telephoning 1-800-800-3855 (nationwide toll free number) and on ATF F 5400.5, Report of Theft or Loss of Explosives, in accordance with the instructions on the form.
