Circumstances of Death

On November 19, 1920, Prohibition Agent Kirby Frans was seriously wounded by a moonshiner during a still raid in Perry, OK.  Agent Frans was rushed to the local hospital, but died the following day from his wounds.

Background

Agent Frans joined the Prohibition Unit on January 22, 1920.  He was one of the original prohibition agents or "dry agents" as they were sometimes called, responsible for enforcing the Volstead Act, which became the law of the land on January 16, 1920.

Personal

Agent Frans was born in Osborne, MO.  He was survived by his wife.
