Circumstances of Death

On December 8, 1939, Special Agents Norval Lee DeArmond and Jack Lee were in pursuit of a moonshine laden vehicle near the Kansas-Nebraska border. At a sharp turn in the road, their government vehicle ran off the highway and crashed. Agent DeArmond was rushed to the local hospital, but died 24 days later.
